Gator Gears Repairs
To make a repair request, EMAIL us at info@bikes.ufl.edu and include the following:
- In the subject line, put your Bike Decal # (the number you can see while sitting on the bike)
- A description of the issue you’re having along with the bicycle’s location and lock code
*The location can be anywhere on campus, if off campus you need to bring to any bike rack on campus. If your bike is not in the described location or at an accessible location, we are not able to fix it. If we are not able to find your bike easily, your repair request will go to the bottom of the queue once we have the updated location. Please don’t move the bike until the repairs are done and we have emailed you to confirm that it’s ready to go.
Repair Requests are completed between normal business hours Monday though Friday. Turn around time is typically one to two business days, sometimes completed within a few hours or sometimes longer depending on length of repair request list we are currently working on. Please be patient and please do not move your bike after you have emailed us about your bicycles issue/location.
Gator Gears does not charge customers for our mechanics’ time and labor, but you may be charged for the cost of parts depending on the type of repair that’s necessary for your bicycle. Tires, tubes, pedals and grips will be replaced free of charge, but participants are responsible for the cost of all other replacement parts. Please see the parts price list below for additional information.
