During Campus Bike Month 2021 UF Bikes is partnering with groups across campus to help make cycling better for all gators! Each week we’ll focus on a new facet of cycling as we help you explore new ways to enjoy cycling safely and reap all the benefits of active transportation.
Mark your calendar and join our email list so you don’t miss any of the programs and events throughout the month. Check back here for more updates and a full calendar of events. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook (@bikesuf) and show us how you ride!

Bike To Campus Day celebrates bicyclists of all stripes with a welcome event on the Plaza of the Americas in the fall and spring semesters. Cyclists who attend are treated to a light breakfast and coffee along with resources from Transportation & Parking Services, UPD, FDOT PedBike Safety Resource Center, UF Office of Sustainability, Gator Dining and more. Stop by for a bite, register your bike, grab free lights and a free helmet, and find out how UF can help you ride more!
The UF Office of Sustainability hosts the Sustainable Transportation Fair each fall on the Reitz Union North Lawn to showcase sustainable transportation options that gators can take advantage of on campus and in their personal lives. UF Bikes hosts a Fix-Flat-Challenge table where we teach attendees to fix flat tires on their bikes and give away flat repair kits for those who complete the brief training. We also host an e-bike demo.
UF’s bicycle programs, the University Police Department and the Office of Sustainability partner to raise awareness of the need to have lights on at night while cycling. During special nights throughout the year, UPD and UF bicycle interns and staff will be out around campus providing free light sets and helmets courtesy of the Florida Department of Transportation. These events are also a great time to register your bike for free!
